Department Definition

The Science department aims to teach Science to students who need a solid foundation to develop their skills. The incumbent is responsible to assess students’ performance with the aim of helping students develop the linguistic ability to function effectively in an international environment.

Main Job Duties & Responsibilities

Implementing the Arabic-language science curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education in accordance with national educational policies, regulations, and systems, with the aim of enhancing student achievement to meet international standards, fostering an engaging learning environment, and supporting the development of well-rounded student character.

Developing annual and term-based instructional plans for the Arabic science curriculum, aligned with content and performance standards.

Managing the teaching and learning process using modern and effective learning strategies, while effectively utilizing educational tools in alignment with the daily instructional plan.

Designing and administering various assessments for the subject, evaluating and measuring student performance, analyzing results for improvement, and completing all assessment and documentation tasks accurately and within approved timelines.

Planning and implementing remedial programs for underperforming students and enrichment programs for gifted and high-achieving students, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Interacting with all students professionally and fairly, while collaborating with guidance counselors to address individual cases and identify their needs for support and follow-up.

Requirements for Expatriates:

Bachelor’s degree in Science / Primary Education (Science and Mathematics)

GPA minimum of 2.5

Minimum of 3 years’ experience for those without a teaching license

Minimum of 2 years’ experience for those holding a teaching license

Age must not exceed 55 years

Proficiency in both Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Strong computer and educational technology skills

Submission of an Academic IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 5.0 for all subjects taught in Arabic, for non-native English speakers, within six months of appointment

Obtaining a teaching license within the first two years from the date of joining
