Department Definition:
The department develops inclusive education policies, standards, and programs for students of determination and learning disabilities, including detection and diagnosis tools, and identifying academic and professional paths, and the needs of students and staff. It also works to ensure the readiness of the educational field by building databases, identifying training programs, activating partnerships, and implementing awareness campaigns. It follows up on the quality of application in educational institutions and linking them to licensing and evaluation standards in accordance with international best practices and institutional quality standards.
Job Definition:
Measurement and Evaluation Specialist in Special Education Developing frameworks, policies, and standards for assessment and diagnosis processes for students of determination, to ensure the accuracy of identifying educational needs and harmonizing the services provided to them in accordance with international best practices. It is also responsible for preparing and codifying measurement and evaluation tools, adapting them to the state environment, and analyzing their results to extract indicators that support decision-making and program development. It contributes to building national databases, following up on the quality of the application of evaluation standards in the educational field, and providing development recommendations that enhance the efficiency of the inclusive education system.
Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Developing frameworks, policies, and standards for the measurement, evaluation and diagnosis processes for students of determination, in line with international best practices and the needs of the educational field.
- Preparing and codifying educational and psychological measurement and evaluation tools and adapting them to the UAE environment, and following up on their update periodically.
- Analyzing the results of national and international evaluation and tests, extracting indicators that support decision-making, and developing programs and services.
- Build and manage databases of assessment and diagnostic results, and ensure their accuracy and integration with approved systems.
- Following up on the application of measurement and evaluation standards in educational institutions and ensuring compliance with them in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- Prepare procedural manuals and forms governing the evaluation and diagnosis processes and train the concerned parties to apply them.
- Participate in determining the appropriate educational and educational paths for students based on the results of the evaluation.
- Preparing specialized studies and researches in the field of measurement and evaluation in special education.
- Prepare periodic reports and submit development recommendations that support policy-making and improve the quality of services.
- Coordinating with the relevant local and international authorities in the fields of developing measurement and evaluation tools and exchanging experiences.
- Participation in relevant initiatives, committees and development work teams Contributing to the achievement of management initiatives and indicators in accordance with the approved plans.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager
Skills Description
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Information Technology, Educational Technology, or Assistive Technologies for People with Disabilities, Digital Instructional Design, Educational Multimedia, Software Engineering, Education, or any technical discipline related to the development and employment of digital solutions and supporting technologies to empower people of determination.
Work Experience:
- Experience in employing educational technology and e-programs with a minimum of (2-6) years .
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of measurement and evaluation methodologies, construction and codification of educational and psychological tests and scales for people of determination.
- Ability to analyze the results of assessments and tests and derive indicators that support decision-making.
- Familiarity with the methods of educational diagnosis and the identification of educational needs according to the approved standards.
- Prepare and develop procedural manuals and frameworks governing evaluation and evaluation processes.
- Use statistical software and data management systems in analyzing results and building specialized reports.
General Skills:
