It also made sure that such schools provided high-quality educational environment and owned the most technically advanced tools to be able to graduate generations that could pursue their university education confidently in higher education institutions to fulfil the requirements of labour market.

The MOE has also provided a smart learning system and high-quality digital platforms, side by side with the continuous development of school curriculums, according to national learning standards, assessment policy that is based on assessing for learning, and highest quality standards that match the best international practices. Various learning tracks, moreover, have been provided to support the capabilities and skills of students and achieve the country's strategy of encouraging the culture of creativity and innovation through providing the students with the skills of the 21st century and motivating them to have new ideas that relate to the reality they live in and foresee the future. This will eventually help in finding radical, sustainable solutions to the major issues, improving competitiveness, and supporting smart government in its attempts to keep pace with global advancements, advance education, and push it to broad horizons of excellence, leadership, and competitiveness.

Department Definition

 The department aims to teach Computing Creative Design and Innovation to students who need a solid foundation to develop their skills. The incumbent is responsible for assessing students’ performance with the aim of helping students to develop their creative thinking abilities to function effectively in a design and engineering environment. Students’ learning will be supported by science, engineering, computing, creativity and innovation. Students will learn how to be innovative, be strong entrepreneurs, communicate, build, design, evaluate, think logically and solve problems. These are all links to Vision 2021 and align with skills needed for the 21st Century.

Main Job Duties & Responsibilities

Model and support a learner-centered, hands-on classroom environment that promotes learner engagement and participation.

Ensure that students reach the expected age-related outcomes for Computing Creative Design and Innovation.

Gain an understanding of working with Arab youth who will study CCDI in English.

Create a positive, active, language-rich learning environment.

Support the learning process by identifying needs and guiding students to achieve their learning objectives.

Ensure assessments are delivered according to the assessment strategy and guidelines, in a valid and rigorous manner.

Maintain an accurate record of student achievement and performance.

Create positive and effective relationships with colleagues.

Requirements for Expatriates:

3+ years of full-time teaching experience in schools for expats (after graduation)

2+ years full- time teaching experience in schools if the candidate possesses one of the following that is regarded as a teaching qualification

Bachelor’s degree (Science, engineering) or equivalent in a Design Technology related subject area.

Excellent level of English proficiency (TOEFL iBT Language proficiency test required or an equivalent to it), which candidates should provide within six months of joining the MOE. (TOEFL score of 79-93 required)

Requirements for Emirati Nationals:

No previous teaching experience required. 

Bachelor’s degree (Science, engineering) or equivalent in a Design Technology related subject area.

Minimum GPA of 2.5 for Emirati candidates. 

English Level: Excellent level of English proficiency (TOEFL iBT certificate or equivalent to it) should be provided within six months from joining MOE.
