Department Definition:

The Ministry of Education has identified the need to raise awareness in this area and promote the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle. The Physical and Health Education curriculum covers a range of topics aimed at improving the knowledge and understanding of health and physical activity. Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Model and support a learner-centered, hands-on classroom environment that promotes learner engagement and participation.
•    Ensure that students reach the expected age-related outcomes for Physical and Health Education.
•    Gain an understanding of working with students who will study Physical and Health Education in English.
•    Create a positive, active, language-rich learning environment.
•    Support the learning process by identifying needs and guiding students to achieve their learning objectives.
•    Ensure assessments are delivered according to the assessment strategy and guidelines, in a valid and rigorous manner.
•    Maintain an accurate record of student achievement and performance.
•    Create positive and effective relationships with colleagues.

Requirements for Expatriates: 
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: (e.g. Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Sports Management, Health Promotion) or equivalent; Masters desirable.
Minimum 3-year degree

Experience (no certification): 3+ years of full-time teaching experience in schools.

Experience (with certification): 2+ years full- time teaching experience in schools if the candidate possesses one of the following:

Accepted Certification: Ministry of Education teaching License, B.Ed; M.Ed; NTS; PGCE (QTS not required); PGDE; H.D.E; H.E.D.

English proficiency requirement: Excellent level of English proficiency (IELTS 6 Academic / 6.5 General) which candidates should provide within six months of joining the MOE.

Age Limit: Up to 45 years old.

Requirements for Emirati Nationals:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: (e.g. Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Sports Management, Health Promotion) or equivalent; Masters desirable.
Minimum 3-year degree

Experience: No previous teaching experience required.

Minimum GPA of 2.5 for Emirati candidates.

English proficiency requirement: Excellent level of English proficiency (IELTS 6 Academic / 6.5 General) which candidates should provide within six months of joining the MOE.

Age Limit: Up to 45 years old
