The MOE has also provided a smart learning system and high-quality digital platforms, side by side with the continuous development of school curriculums, according to national learning standards, assessment policy that is based on assessing for learning, and highest quality standards that match the best international practices. Various learning tracks, moreover, have been provided to support the capabilities and skills of students and achieve the country's strategy of encouraging the culture of creativity and innovation through providing the students with the skills of the 21st century and motivating them to have new ideas that relate to the reality they live in and foresee the future. This will eventually help in finding radical, sustainable solutions to the major issues, improving competitiveness, and supporting smart government in its attempts to keep pace with global advancements, advance education, and push it to broad horizons of excellence, leadership, and competitiveness
Department Definition:
The department is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the administrative and academic performance of schools in accordance with approved indicators and standards, analyzing evaluation outcomes across multiple levels, and preparing reports and recommendations to support decision-making. It also oversees schools’ compliance with policies and regulations, while empowering school leadership to improve performance and achieve sustainable educational quality.
Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of the Visual Arts curriculum across schools in alignment with approved content standards and learning outcomes.
- Support and build teachers’ capacity in applying effective Visual Arts teaching strategies, enhancing both classroom and extracurricular practices.
- Design and develop diverse and effective assessment tools to measure student learning and analyze performance results to identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze student and school performance data and prepare periodic reports with evidence-based recommendations to improve educational outcomes.
- Design and implement data-driven remedial and enrichment interventions to address diverse student needs and improve performance.
- Empower schools to develop and implement data-driven improvement plans and monitor their impact on student learning.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of development efforts in Visual Arts education.
Skills Description
- A Master’s degree (minimum requirement) in a relevant field such as Art Education, Visual Arts, Curriculum & Instruction, or Education.
- A PhD in a related field is considered a strong advantage.
- 6-8 years of experience in education, preferably in teaching or supporting Visual Arts.
- Experience in developing and implementing curriculum plans aligned with approved content standards and learning outcomes.
- Experience in designing assessment tools and analysing student learning outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience in implementing data-driven remedial and enrichment programs to enhance student performance.
- Experience in teacher capacity building, academic support, and instructional supervision.
- Preferably, experience in analysing school performance data and preparing reports to support decision-making
