Job Description

Since the establishment of the union of the United Arab Emirates in 1971, education has received the utmost attention of the founding leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy on him, and his founding brothers. They believed that education was the cornerstone of building an enabled community that could keep pace with the advancements. Since investing in human capital is the main objective, the UAE has been keen on establishing the Ministry of Education and creating the appropriate environment to build pioneering Emirati schools, in terms of standards, form, and content they provide. It also made sure that such schools provided high-quality educational environment and owned the most technically advanced tools to be able to graduate generations that could pursue their university education confidently in higher education institutions to fulfil the requirements of labour market. 

The MOE has also provided a smart learning system and high-quality digital platforms, side by side with the continuous development of school curriculums, according to national learning standards, assessment policy that is based on assessing for learning, and highest quality standards that match the best international practices. Various learning tracks, moreover, have been provided to support the capabilities and skills of students and achieve the country's strategy of encouraging the culture of creativity and innovation through providing the students with the skills of the 21st century and motivating them to have new ideas that relate to the reality they live in and foresee the future. This will eventually help in finding radical, sustainable solutions to the major issues, improving competitiveness, and supporting smart government in its attempts to keep pace with global advancements, advance education, and push it to broad horizons of excellence, leadership, and competitiveness.

Implement the Kindergarten Education curriculum of the Ministry of Education in accordance with the educational policies, regulations, and systems in force in the state; enhance students’ levels to meet international standards; create an engaging learning environment; and develop a well-balanced student personality.

Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual and semester plans for the subject in accordance with content and performance standards of the kindergarten curriculum.
  • Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with content standards and learning outcomes of the kindergarten curriculum, specifying classroom and extracurricular activities and the mechanisms for their implementation.
  • Assess and measure children’s skill performance by preparing observation and evaluation cards, monitoring and evaluating children’s performance throughout the daily kindergarten program, analyzing assessment results, and making comparisons to track children’s progress during the academic year.
  • Manage the teaching and learning process using modern child-centered strategies and active learning approaches, effectively utilizing educational tools according to the daily plan.
  • Design and implement remedial plans accurately and comprehensively for children with low performance, as well as enrichment plans for gifted and talented children, based on their abilities and interests.
  • Support children’s physical, mental, psychological, and social needs and assist them in achieving developmental milestones during early childhood.

Skills Description

Requirements for Expatriates:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Kindergarten Education. Minimum 3-year degree.

Experience (no certification): 3+ years of full-time teaching experience in schools.

Experience (with certification): 2+ years full- time teaching experience in schools.

Accepted Certification: UAE Ministry of Education teaching License, QTS, PGDE.

For Kindergarten teaching in English the English proficiency requirement (non-native English speakers): A very good level of English proficiency. IELTS certificate with a score of 6 Academic or 6.5 General) at time of application. IELTS certificates cannot be older than 2 years.

Preferred: Proficiency in Arabic and English (reading, writing, listening and speaking)

Age: Up to 45 years old

 

Requirements for Emirati Nationals:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten Education. Minimum 3-year degree.

Experience: No previous experience required

Accepted Certification: UAE Ministry of Education teaching License, QTS.

For Kindergarten teaching in English the English proficiency requirement (non-native English speakers): A very good level of English proficiency. IELTS certificate with a score of 6 Academic or 6.5 General) at time of application. IELTS certificates cannot be older than 2 years.
